My grandpa, "Patom" to us, "Pa" to the great-grandkids is in the hospital tonight. I think he will come home tomorrow on meds. He was having pains in his chest when he would breathe, so he went to the dr.'s office & was sent to the E.R. They seem to think it's an infection around his heart (I'm sure I'm not being very technical, so forgive me) and antibiotics should clear it up. Pa insists that isn't what it is. He of course still has his tumor in his lung, but that is small and hopefully not a problem right now. I won't say where he's at, but I honestly don't have much faith in his care tonight, unfortunately. If I were in a position to spend the night, I would have felt better doing so. Before we left, a nurse had tried to give him medicine for gout, which he doesn't have. We luckily were there to stop her. They also tried to give him a blood pressure pill he didn't need. Urrgghhh... Anyway, say a prayer he heals up and also doesn't get anything he isn't supposed to. I am hoping (and praying) we get a second opinion. It just makes sense. We'll see. I am so thankful that I can be there when family calls. It's a perk of being a stay-at-home mom. Sometimes I have to get a sitter, but other times I've had to take the kids along. Whatever needs to be done at the time. I will say tonight I wasn't all that comfortable being in a hospital because a lot of patients in the E.R. had diaherrea and vomiting, so I sat and waited in another waiting area by myself. Oh, and the hospital doesn't deliver babies. I didn't realize that was optional! Glad my sister's driving didn't really put me in labor like I thought it was! Hehee.....
Jokes aside, I hope Pa heals up nicely. His spirit is fine and I have a feeling his nurse is going to have her hands full tonight. :-)
I checked on my babies when I got home and found them both asleep in Carson's crib. So cute. Love, love, love them when they are sleeping! So angelic!!! So quiet- LOL!
They had a busy, busy day, visiting with Poppy and "helping" him work on our generator. Also, they got to ride with Papa to feed the cows, so they thought they were big stuff. Then we had dance of course, which required 3 outfits before we even got there.....but that's another story. Oh that Emmy!
She did good again this week. I'm so proud of her, she is really coming along. We'll see what Carson gets into as he grows. He's happy being a farm boy....but who knows.
Well, I'm off for now. Will update tomorrow when I know more.
