Actually it's more like 1 day to go, since today is about done. :-) I'm ready to meet my little man!
I'm also ready to breathe easier and not have to go potty every 2 minutes.....but that's another story!
Dustin has been off since Friday, so we've just basically hung out around the house and done a few last minute things to prepare. Friday I went and had the car serviced while he watched the kids. I also went to the store to get some food for the kids. I had a nice lunch with my sister & Joyce ("juju") and just relaxed a bit. Yesterday we took Carson for a haircut. He doesn't like haircuts anymore, so it's a challenge. I'm always glad when it's done for a spell. I wasn't sure when we'd get another opportunity, so we did it yesterday, along with a few errands Dustin needed to get done. We also stopped by to see his grandma, which was nice since we hadn't seen her since right before Christmas. It snowed while we were there-ever so briefly but the kids were very excited! I kind of was too. :-)
Last night I went and supported our Relay For Life team at a dance we were sponsoring. I don't dance but I love hearing a live band, so after the kids were in bed, off I went. I don't know when I've stayed out so late! It was a lot of fun, not very smoky, and we raised almost $1000! Yay! For the record, I did dance to one song! My uncle drug me out there. It was fun and everyone thought it was either a hoot or cute. Go figure! I was tired this morning since I was out till almost 2 am!
Dustin and I both feel like we are just waiting around to have the baby. Today we got Mexican to go and enjoyed a late lunch together while the kids were napping, it was really nice to have time to just talk and laugh. We've always done things to make each other laugh and crack up. I would say maybe we aren't all that mature acting at times...hehe. I'm grateful for these few days he's been home with us, one for the company, two for the help with the kids. It is almost impossible for me to lift them right now! I think we definitely will have to plan more date nights once the baby is here and settled. Especially since my sister Abbey can drive now and is very eager to earn extra cash. :-) I have a hard time leaving my kids, but I know I need to do it more often. I feel so refreshed after even a small break, like running to get lunch and enjoying it kid-free with the hubs. I think it makes me a better Mommy. I miss them terribly though the minute I walk out the door. Well, I'm off to wake the kids up from nap or no one will sleep tonight, and that's just not an option here! (unless you're the new baby of course!)
Tomorrow we have to pack the car, take the twins' car seats out, and do a few last minute things. I probably won't sleep tomorrow night because I'm always afraid I'll oversleep when I have to be somewhere so early (6:45 am). We will probably pull out about 5:30 Tuesday morning. The countdown is winding down!
