The Nursery

Here are the nursery pics!  I love the nursery.  It is so different from the twins' nursery.  I loved their nursery too, it was green and yellow and very neutral, very soft, very basic.  I had my pictures from my nursery growing up in the twins' nursery.  The new baby's nursery is more boy-ish but still has some "old" touches, like the old rocker I found at a yard sale and had refinished-it's 150 years old.  I also have our old dresser in there, some Longaberger baskets.  Well, without further ado- here it is:
This is when you walk in the door, the crib is right there, with the rocker to the left of it.  The bedding is "transportation" themed with cars, trucks, fire engines, etc.  I know the mobile doesn't match, but it was Carson's and I saw no need to spend money on a new one.  He has a dalmation dog in his bed, and a blue pup Hunter gave him.  So cute!  The walls have decals on them, some more 3-D, some stick on with transportation theme.  The curtains are from my favorite curtain website- so simple, and homemade- Valance Station.  And very reasonably priced!
Another view.  The bookshelf has the pinata from the gender party and I don't know if you can see the "it's a boy" poster, but that was also from the party.  Everyone who was on the boy "side" stood behind that.  :-)

Here is the dresser, which is doubling as a changing table.
Toys!  These are all the twins' baby toys.  If they come in the room, they play with them like it's the first time they are seeing them.  Yes, I'm going to be cleaning up even more toys very soon.  The closet is the closet-nothing to say about that.

There you have it, Baby Boy's room.  Just waiting for his arrival.  I'm proud of it, because if you saw that room before, you'd be amazed.  It literally had a path through it.  I have worked so hard to clean it out.

The shower at church yesterday was very nice and I've already put those gifts away in the room.  In fact, these pics were taken after I did that.  :-)  The devil tried to keep us from having a good time I think, but he didn't succeed.  Our furnace went out last week at church, so we knew we wouldn't have heat.  Then before worship started, the power went out.  It was definitely an old fashioned shower I'd say, with light from the windows lighting the way and no heat.  Of course, I'm never cold these days so I was fine, but everyone else was definitely troopers!  I couldn't believe all the gifts for our baby!  We are so blessed to have such a loving church family.  I am the third church member to have a baby, so that is neat.  (The church is only 5 years old).
Well, that is all for tonight-I think I've caught everyone up on just about everything.  Now if I can figure out how to change the main pic.  Our pumpkins just bit the dust last week, so I thought I'd change the pic too.  Actually the big white one is at the edge of the woods and the kids "visit" it daily.  They LOVE pumpkins.  We've had them on the porch till last week because they were so crazy over them.
Hope everyone has a blessed night!  The baby countdown is on!
