Don't forget to go vote today, even though it's not a presidential election! It is important to exercise our right to vote. We take the kids with us, which I think is a good social studies lesson for them! They need to know about voting, why we vote, why we vote for who we vote for, etc. etc. As the years go by, they understand more and more. It honestly amazes me sometimes the things they understand and remember.
For instance, the other day Emilynn says to me, "The sun is a star mom." I was taken a little by surprise, then I asked her where she learned that. She said, "On Bubble Guppies Mom."
You never know what they are going to say!
