Sunday Scripture

Today's scripture is from Ecclesiastes 3:1:

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven"

This scripture is what comes to mind as we enjoy the activities of fall.  I love fall, I love the cool weather, pumpkins, leaves everywhere.  We spent last night by the fire pit at my Dad's, roasting hotdogs and making s'mores.  Today we raked leaves for my grandma, and it seems fall activites are all around.  I am trying to make a conscious effort to enjoy the Thanksgiving season too, and not just go from Halloween to Christmas.  It seems the stores skip Thanksgiving all together.  The kids are pressuring me to decorate the house for Christmas, but I am gonna try to put them off a while yet.  It is hard when my Dad has light up a tree that rivals anything the Griswold's ever imagined.  :-)  I'm not kidding, it's huge y'all!  My kids LOVE decorations, so I know one day, I will ask Poppy to bring the bucket truck over and decorate a tree for us like that.  :-)
Anyway, enjoy each season as it changes!  They are all fun for different reasons.  I don't think I'd enjoy living somewhere without distinct season changes.
I'm tired-so that's it for tonight.  Raking leaves will do that to ya!  :-)  Carson said it best as he was raking- "This is hard work."
