For an update on the crib situation- the corporate office of Babies R Us is supposed to be calling me back. I am not letting this go, so I will be following up on it and also filing two more claims with the manufacturer and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. I'll keep you posted. The man on the phone seemed very concerned so we'll see!
So what are we doing in the meantime? Well, we thought about putting Emilynn in the pack and play to sleep, but I was afraid of that because she can almost climb out of that. We tried to think of what we could do to keep her in the crib safely, so we added another bumper to her crib! So, she has two bumpers that go all the way up the crib to block her from sticking her legs through the slats. I think you can get taller bumpers, which would solve the problem, so we may have to look into other options as well. She only does these things when she wakes up from nap or in the mornings, so I got the monitors back out and hooked them up so I would hear her right when she wakes up and be able to get in their room quickly. We had given them up because their room is so close to ours, you can pretty much hear them anyway, but I wanted to hear every movement. Do mothers ever sleep soundly? I don't think so! Anyway, her crib cracks me up now....it fits so perfectly with her personality. It makes you wonder what in the world is going on when you see it with the two mismatched bumpers and all the bite marks where she chews on it. She's our little free spirit for sure!!! And Carson's crib you ask? In pristine condition, of course! LOL>
