Apparently, I need more time with adults, just saying.... I actually got excited today when I saw the McDonald's Happy Meal toys are changing on Friday. Yep, a commercial came on and I was excited. Boy, I really, really need more time with adults, huh? I really don't like my kids eating so much processed fast food, but we've had a lot of occasions this past month that warranted it. I thought if I saw one more of those yellow "minion" things from Despicable Me 2, I would scream! There are even unopened ones in my car, because apparently my kids are sick of them too. Bring on the Smurfs on Friday! :-) LOL. Truly, my kids have no idea, nor did I, about Despicable Me, so they were less than thrilled with the toys.
I will try to get a life. I promise!
My nephew actually told Meme one day that McDonald's was out of apples for the happy meals. She pulled up to get him a meal, and sure enough, they were out of apples. I just thought I'd throw that out there. If I'm throwing myself under the bus, I'm taking my sister Amanda with me! Ha!
In all actuality, if we MUST eat fast food, I prefer to get them Taco Bell. I get them a cheese quesadilla without the jalapeno sauce. Cheese ones are not on the menu, but they sell them. It's as close to "real" food as I can find in a drive-thru setting. Just a tip.....
Oh, and as far as toys go- if you get an "under 3" toy, they are much nicer and more generic than the regular ones. All my kids much prefer the under 3 toy, but sometimes they are out of them. Henry has gotten a little radio player thing, a school bus with a door you open and close, and some other neat things. They are made nicer and are just Ronald McDonald themed. Just another idea.....
Honestly, it's much easier to just feed the kids at home. Not to mention healthier too. My kids don't really eat anything in a happy meal except the apples and fries....they aren't all that fond of the processed chicken....which at least makes me a teeny bit happy!
