We had a great Thanksgiving, filled with too much food and some fun/crazy black Friday shopping. 

Here are the turkey cupcakes I made with the kids and cousin Hunter last week.  So cute and so easy! 

I made them again Saturday because I had to bring kids' dessert to Dustin's family Thanksgiving.  They were a hit for sure, and we'll make them next year.

Dustin's birthday was Wednesday, so I had to make him a cake.  He always wants yellow cake with chocolate icing, all from store-bought mix and icing.  So, that's what he gets.  I've had the same hunting figurines that I put on his cake for about 8 years.  It's become kind of a joke.  This year, I decided to do something different since I was doing the little turkeys. 

Here's how it turned out: 

A big turkey!  I thought it was okay for a spur of the moment idea. 

I hope everyone had a great holiday last week!  It's kind of hard getting back into the swing of things for us.  Dustin was off almost two weeks straight, and we had all the holiday comings and goings. 
I guess it will be crazy now until after Christmas!
