"Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1Thessalonians 5:16-18
I think there is much wisdom to be gained from these verses. Am I joyful always? Nope, not hardly. I will work on being joyful, even when the laundry is over my head and spaghetti o's are stuck to the floor. I think it is hard to give thanks in all circumstances, such as when we are sick or going through a great trial. I will have to keep this scripture close and work on it continuously! I will also remember to give myself grace when I slip up and fail to do these things. It is easy to not forgive ourselves and be mad at ourselves when God forgives. I've found he forgives me much more easily than I forgive myself!
